Your data

Delete your Nenvik account

Anyone who signs in to Nenvik, in the web app or the Android and iOS apps, can delete their own account. You can do it in the app or ask us by email.

In the app

Delete your account in the app

Office staff and field workers

  1. Sign in to Nenvik.
  2. Open your account menu and choose Account security.
  3. Under Delete my account, choose Review deleting my account and read what happens.
  4. Enter your current password, type DELETE, and confirm.

You are signed out of that business's workspace on every device straight away, and that team account can never sign in again. If you use the same email and password for another Nenvik business or for a customer portal, that other access is not deleted and keeps working; delete it there separately if you want to.

Customer portal users

  1. Sign in to the customer portal.
  2. Open Account security.
  3. Under Delete my portal account, review what happens, enter your current password, type DELETE, and confirm.

This removes your customer portal login for every business linked to it. If the same email and password also sign you in as a team member of a Nenvik business, that team access is not deleted.

Company owners

A business on Nenvik always needs an active owner, so an owner's account can't be deleted on its own. Either transfer ownership to another team member (Settings, then Team) and then delete your account, or close the whole Company account (Settings, then Account closure). Closing a Company gives you 30 days to export its data; its primary data becomes eligible for deletion after 90 days unless a legal hold applies.

Without the app

Ask us to delete your account

If you can't sign in, email support@nenvik.com.au from the email address you use to sign in, with the subject "Account deletion request". Tell us the business you work for or buy from, and whether you are a team member or a customer portal user.

We will confirm the request with you before acting, so that nobody else can delete your account. If you are a business's customer, you can also ask that business directly to remove your details from its own records.

What is deleted

What happens to your account

For team members (office staff and field workers), deleting your account:

  • replaces your name with "Deleted user" and erases your email address (including on your team invitation and password-reset records), phone number and password;
  • removes your profile photo;
  • erases your authenticator (two-step sign-in) secret and recovery codes;
  • revokes push notification registrations and erases their device tokens;
  • removes the IP addresses and full browser details stored with your sign-in history; ended web sessions can still show a general device type such as "Chrome on Android";
  • switches off iOS automatic arrival and removes its device security keys;
  • ends every session on every device, and removes your team permissions.

For customer portal users, deleting your portal account:

  • replaces your display name with "Deleted customer" and erases your sign-in email address (including on the portal invitations you accepted) and password;
  • revokes push notification registrations and erases their device tokens;
  • ends every session and your portal access to every linked business.

What is kept

Business records that stay, and why

The business you work for or buy from is responsible for its own records and may be required to keep them for tax, accounting, employment and legal reasons. These stay with that business after you delete your account, linked to an anonymous "Deleted user" or "Deleted customer" record instead of your name and email:

  • jobs, tasks, job notes, photos and other evidence you added;
  • time entries, timesheets and expense claims;
  • quotes, invoices, payments, signed agreements and approvals;
  • audit and security history showing what happened and when.

If the business turned on location checks for starting a job timer, the single location reading taken when you started a timer is kept as attendance evidence. The business sets how long it is meant to be kept (30 to 365 days; 90 days unless changed). Scheduled deletion at the end of that period is still being switched on, so until it is running a reading can be kept for longer than that period. Deleting your account does not delete these readings sooner.

A business's own customer record about you (for example your name, phone number and address on its customer list) belongs to that business. Deleting your portal login does not delete it; ask the business if you want it removed or corrected.

Database backups are not edited one record at a time. Backups and retention follow the hosting and database providers’ arrangements for the service plan Nenvik uses. Information removed from the live service can remain in provider backups; Nenvik does not promise a fixed backup-erasure date or a separate recovery-point or restore-time commitment.
