Walkthrough

Step by step

  1. 01

    Confirm the closure request

Open Settings → Account closure and enter the requested business-name confirmation. Closure applies to the selected Company. Its ordinary access is immediately frozen, while the original Owner's dedicated closure portal remains read-only and limited to recovery.

  2. 02

Prepare the recovery export within 30 days

Use Prepare closure export before the export window ends. The download contains the listed business, team, customer, job and invoice records at the time of export. Its contents list explains what is excluded and why.

  3. 03

    Cancel during the recovery window

Use Cancel closure request while the status is Export window. After 90 days, primary data becomes eligible for deletion and cannot be recovered through the browser. Follow the status and dates shown on the closure page.

  4. 04

    Save the optional terminal receipt

Before deletion, you can create an expiring terminal receipt link. Keep it private. It can show the final deletion timestamp, but it cannot reopen the business or download an export.

Troubleshooting

If something does not look right

The export link is unavailable.

Confirm that you are the original Owner, your closure session is valid and unrevoked, and the 30-day export window has not expired. The response intentionally stays generic for other Companies and expired or cancelled closures.

A legal hold blocks deletion.

A legal hold pauses deletion. Contact support for help with the closure status.

The deletion receipt link no longer works.

It may have expired or been revoked. The link cannot restore access or be reissued after revocation.

I can no longer sign in to another Company after this one closes.

Use the shared account password and an available active Company context. A closed Company cannot be selected. If your password or recovery email no longer proves which shared account you own, contact support; an ambiguous reset is declined rather than applied to another Company.
