Walkthrough
Step by step
- 01
Open Payments as the Owner
Open Settings → Payments and choose Connect with Stripe. Stripe’s hosted onboarding collects your business details, identity verification and bank account. It creates your business’s own Stripe account with the full Stripe Dashboard.
- 02
Check the connection status
Nenvik shows Not connected → Connecting → Connected/Ready. If Stripe needs more information, the status is Action required. Finish the requirements in Stripe or use Resume onboarding. Returning from Stripe alone does not prove the account is ready.
- 03
Issue and share the invoice
Review the invoice and use the checkbox in the Issue dialog to email the secure invoice link at the same time. Customers open View invoice in the email, or View and pay invoice in a payment-enabled reminder. You can also share the invoice through the Customer Portal.
- 04
Let the customer pay securely
From the secure invoice link or Customer Portal, Pay invoice opens Stripe’s secure hosted Checkout. The payment methods shown are those enabled in your business’s Stripe settings. The invoice is marked paid when Stripe confirms the payment; returning from Checkout alone is not confirmation.
- 05
Review fees and payouts in Stripe
Money goes directly to your business’s own Stripe account. Nenvik does not hold funds and adds no Nenvik fee to the payment. Stripe charges processing fees to your business’s Stripe account under Stripe’s pricing. Payouts follow your business’s Stripe payout schedule; review those details in Stripe.
- 06
Handle refunds and disputes in Stripe
Make refunds in your business’s Stripe Dashboard. Completed refunds appear in the invoice payment history and reopen the refunded balance automatically once Stripe confirms them. Nenvik does not start refunds itself. Handle disputes and chargebacks in Stripe.
Troubleshooting
If something does not look right
I cannot open payment connection settings.
Sign in as the business Owner. Other staff cannot connect the account.
Stripe needs more information.
Check Action required and finish the requirements in Stripe or choose Resume onboarding. Confirm the connection shows Ready before collecting online payments.
Pay invoice is not offered, or payment is not yet recorded.
Check that the Stripe connection is Ready and the issued invoice has an outstanding balance. Use the latest secure invoice link. Wait for Stripe’s confirmed result; contact support if a confirmed payment is still missing.
A completed refund is missing.
Check the refund status in Stripe and the invoice payment history. Pending refunds do not change the balance. Follow the invoice and payment workflow guide or contact support if a completed refund is still missing.
