Walkthrough
Step by step
- 01
Create one Customer record
Search before creating a new Customer. Use the commercial or household identity the business recognises.
- 02
Add Contacts deliberately
Use Contacts for people attached to the Customer. A Contact email does not automatically become a Portal identity.
- 03
Add operational Service Sites
Use Service Sites for locations where work occurs. Record available contact, arrival, access, parking and safety details. Add map coordinates only when you have verified them and confirm the location in the form. Keep billing, postal and service-location meaning explicit.
- 04
Review the Job snapshot
When a Job uses a Service Site, confirm the frozen location details. Later Site edits do not silently rewrite historical Job evidence.
Troubleshooting
If something does not look right
A current Service Site change is not visible on an older Job.
This can be correct: the Job preserves its own location snapshot. Review the Job rather than assuming it follows the live Service Site.
A Service Site save reports that the record changed elsewhere.
Your entered values remain in the form. Review them against the latest record summary, then save once more to deliberately apply them to the current version. Reload instead if you want to discard your draft and use the other editor's values.
A Contact cannot sign into the Portal.
A separate live Portal invitation and customer-account access are required.
