Walkthrough
Step by step
- 01
Capture the enquiry
Create a Lead with the person, source, requested service, and factual notes. Public Business Website requests can create business-owned Leads automatically.
- 02
Qualify and convert
Update the Lead as contact progresses. Convert it into a Customer only when the business has enough reliable information.
- 03
Confirm the service location
Add or select the Customer’s Service Site when the work location differs from billing or postal details.
- 04
Build and review the Quote
Add line items, quantities, unit prices, tax, scope, and terms. Review totals before publishing the customer version.
- 05
Publish for a customer decision
Send the eligible private Quote or make it available in the Customer Portal. A customer decision does not schedule work or collect money.
- 06
Create the Job
Convert accepted work to a linked Job, then confirm priority, location snapshot, operational status, and scheduling needs.
Troubleshooting
If something does not look right
The Quote cannot be converted.
Check its current lifecycle state, customer link, items, totals, and whether a linked Job already exists.
The customer cannot see the Quote.
Confirm that the correct saved, read-only publication is current and that the Portal user still has live access to the exact customer account.
