Walkthrough

Step by step

  1. 01

    Confirm company defaults

Open Settings → Company. Confirm the read-only company name and currency, then review numbering prefixes, quote and invoice timing defaults, the tax display label, and the operating timezone. Activity timestamps use this Company timezone; date-only records keep the calendar day entered. Prefixes lock after the first corresponding record is numbered.

  2. 02

    Switch from another system

There is no self-service import yet. Export your customer data from your current software, for example a CSV or spreadsheet export from ServiceM8, Tradify or Simpro, and send it to Nenvik support. We will move it into your new Nenvik account for you. Your data is handled under our Privacy Policy.

  3. 03

Review public business details when the website is enabled

Open Settings → Website → Contact to review the public phone, email, address, and other Business Information used by the Business Website. This is separate from Company settings and can require website-management access.

  4. 04

    Invite the team

Invite each person with their own email address and choose the minimum role that matches their work. Do not share one staff login.

  5. 05

Create one real Customer and Service Site

Enter a Customer and, when work occurs at another location, add the relevant Service Site. Keep billing and operational locations distinct.

  6. 06

    Run a controlled first workflow

Create a Lead or Quote, convert accepted work into a Job, schedule an eligible team member, complete the work, then issue an Invoice and record Payment evidence.

  7. 07

    Review customer access separately

Invite a Customer Portal user only when the business intends to share eligible Quotes, Jobs, Invoices, or account information with that person.

Troubleshooting

If something does not look right

A setting is not visible.

Confirm that you are signed into the correct business and have Owner access. If the whole module is absent, contact Nenvik support to check controlled availability.

A team invitation was not received.

Confirm the email address and invitation status, then resend only from the Team screen. Never forward the raw invitation link through an insecure channel.
