Read Asset and Inventory operational reporting

Compare separate equipment, stock and Customer property snapshots without turning operational evidence into accounting claims.

Before you start

Prerequisites and permissions

Have ready

  • Asset or Inventory view access.
  • View access to the relevant Company Asset, Inventory or Customer Asset section.

Access rules

  • Owners receive the enabled Company registers.
  • Office Staff see only sections allowed by exact Asset or Inventory capabilities and plan features.
  • Field Workers do not receive the broad Business Console report; their equipment access is limited to the assigned work.

Walkthrough

Step by step

  1. 01

    Check the snapshot evidence

Read the as-of time and limited-snapshot label first. Exact register totals and visible-list evidence are labelled separately so a truncated list is never presented as complete.

  2. 02

    Keep the three registers separate

Company equipment tracks custody and maintenance. Inventory tracks consumable quantities through saved, read-only entries. Customer Assets track Customer property and service facts. One section never changes another.

  3. 03

    Open the authoritative register

Use the section link to inspect the current records before acting. A report count is a navigation and attention signal, not a mutation or approval.

  4. 04

    Stay connected for every write

Inventory movements, transfers, stocktakes, adjustments, equipment scan resolution, custody transitions and Customer Asset writes require a live server decision. No generic offline replay is enabled.

Troubleshooting

If something does not look right

A reporting section is unavailable.

Confirm the exact Company feature is enabled and the current role has the matching view capability. The report does not combine permissions across sections.

The report says visible or limited.

Open the underlying register and refine its scope. The label means the current response reached a reviewed list limit and does not claim a full count for that field.

A displayed quantity has changed.

Refresh the register before acting. Every stock write rechecks current server balance and version and must surface a conflict instead of silently merging.

A Field Worker cannot scan arbitrary Company equipment.

That is intentional. Field Workers receive only equipment proved by personal custody or an assigned Job; broad scan lookup remains manager-scoped.
