Walkthrough

Step by step

  1. 01

    Add a PDF

Under Photos on the Quote tab, open Add files when the list is empty, then choose Add PDF and select one file. Uploads save immediately; no Save is needed. Use up to 10 files, 10 MB each, 50 MB per quote and 200 pages per file.

  2. 02

    Arrange files

The filename becomes the title. Open the file's ⋯ menu to Rename the title, Move up, Move down or Remove. Confirm removal once. Titles can contain up to 120 characters.

  3. 03

    Publish and share

Sending freezes the exact processed files, their titles and their order into the revision. Customers see Files below the photos and choose Open to download. The quote PDF includes an Attached files index. File attachments stay behind the online quote link and are not attached to email.

  4. 04

    Revise before acceptance

Changing draft files requires publishing the new revision. Previously published revisions keep their frozen files. Accepted quotes are locked and keep their files; further changes use a job change order. Templates do not copy attachments.

Troubleshooting

If something does not look right

The PDF was rejected.

Encrypted, digitally signed, invalid or form-dependent PDFs are not supported. Export a flat, unsigned, unencrypted PDF and check its page count and size. The upload message explains the reason.

The upload failed or the quote changed.

Connect to the internet and reload the quote before trying again. Pending uploads must finish or be removed before sending. If the limit is reached, remove an unused draft file.

Open reports that a file is unavailable.

Reload the quote or use the latest email link. Expired or revoked links, removed portal access, or a file that cannot be verified prevent download.
