Walkthrough
Step by step
- 01
Revise a quote
Choose Revise quote on a Declined or Expired quote, or More → Revise quote on a Sent quote. Confirm: The customer's current link will stop working until you send the new version. Previous links and pending signature requests are revoked; the saved old version and its response history remain.
- 02
Edit and send the new version
The quote returns to Draft. Edit its scope, items, options, extras, dates, terms, photos or files. Save, check Preview, then Send quote. Sending creates the next saved revision. Share the new link; old links stay revoked. Accepted quotes stay locked; later changes go through a job change order.
- 03
What changed?
Activity shows What changed in revision N against the previous published version. The secure link and portal show What changed since the last version above the price when both saved versions belong to the same recipient. Open it to review changed text sections, added/removed/changed lines, options and extras, subtotal/GST/total, deposit, expiry, photos and file titles. Older line identities may be ambiguous; those changes appear as additions and removals.
Troubleshooting
If something does not look right
Revise quote fails or is unavailable.
Check quote management permission and quote status. Reload after another edit or decision. A delivery already in progress needs reconciliation in Activity before revision. Accepted and cancelled quotes cannot be revised.
No comparison is shown.
A comparison needs two saved, published versions for the same quote and recipient. Drafts, failed/pending deliveries and legacy captures are excluded. A first publication has no previous version.
