Switch to Nenvik

Get your customers and team into Nenvik in about 10 minutes.

Moving from ServiceM8, Tradify, Fergus, Simpro, AroFlo, Jobber, spreadsheets or paper? Start with your account, a customer CSV covering primary contacts and service-site addresses, and team invitations. About 10 minutes is a starting point for that setup with a ready file; cleaning data or typing paper records takes longer. Quote templates, forms, your website and booking come next.

Start with your customer list

Bring customers, contacts and service sites across

Import creates customer records in the business you are signed into. Check the column mappings and preview before confirming.

Customers and primary contacts

Each valid row creates a customer and a primary contact. Common column headers are matched automatically, and you can change every suggested mapping.

Service-site addresses

A service site is created when the row includes an address. Review addresses in the preview and correct unrecognised states, postcodes or phone numbers in your file before uploading it again.

Keep open work where it started

Jobs, quotes, invoices and history do not import. Finish existing work in your old system and start new work in Nenvik, with a clear handover date for the team.

How it works

Your first 10 minutes: account, customer list and team

  1. Create your account. Create and confirm your account, then check the business you are working in and its basic details.
  2. Prepare your customer CSV. Export a CSV of your customers from your current software. For spreadsheets or paper, prepare a UTF-8 CSV with a header. Allow extra time for data entry and cleaning.
  3. Open Customers → Import customers. Select your file, check the suggested column mappings and adjust them as needed. Review the preview with Previous rows and Next rows. Correct missing names or invalid values in the source file and upload it again.
  4. Import and check the result. Choose Import customers and keep the page open. Existing customers are skipped. Review created, skipped and failed counts, then download skipped or failed rows with reasons; correct failed rows and import them again.
  5. Invite the team with roles. Invite office staff and field workers with the right roles and permissions. Sending invitations is part of setup; each person still needs to accept their invitation.

Straight answers

What Nenvik does not do

  • Use a UTF-8 CSV with a header and comma or semicolon separators. Each file must be no larger than 2 MB and contain no more than 5,000 customer rows.
  • Only customers, primary contacts and service sites import. Jobs, quotes, invoices, history and customer assets do not import; existing records are not updated and Customer Portal access is not granted.
  • Rows are skipped as already exists when the email belongs to a customer contact or the exact customer name and phone already exist, including archived customers. Importing the same file twice creates no new copies.
  • Import needs Customers access and customer management permission; export needs customer view permission. Field Workers and Customer Portal users cannot use these controls.
  • The approximate 10-minute path covers account setup, a ready customer CSV and sending team invitations. File preparation, resolving failed rows, quote templates, forms, website, booking and Stripe setup need separate time.

Questions about switch to nenvik

What if my file has duplicates?

Rows whose email already belongs to a customer contact, or whose exact customer name and phone already exist, are skipped as already exists, including archived customers. Existing records are not overwritten. Download skipped or failed rows with their reasons and review them; importing the same file again creates no copies.

Can I run both systems for a while?

Yes. Keep finishing open jobs, quotes and invoices where they started, and agree when the team will start new work in Nenvik. Those records and their history do not import through the customer CSV tool.

Can support help?

Yes. Support can help with the move and questions about your customer file. Follow the import and export help guide first, and share and store exported customer details carefully under the Privacy Policy.

Can I switch from spreadsheets or paper?

Yes. Prepare a UTF-8 CSV with a header for your customers, primary contacts and service-site addresses. Typing paper records and cleaning a spreadsheet takes extra time before the approximate 10-minute setup path.

Is everything ready after 10 minutes?

That estimate covers creating the account, importing a ready customer file and inviting the team. Allow more time if the file needs corrections. Build quote templates, forms, your website, booking and Stripe setup afterwards, with access depending on enabled features and permissions.
